Amazing value especially given the location!

Fantastic location at a great price! Room was spotlessly clean and everything works. It was simply a comfortable stay, highly recommended. (Note: reception is at 6th floor)

Really small elevators, footsteps audible in the hall way, noisy drainpipes connecting to upper floors, some chemical smell in the air (probably floor cleaner).

The noise in the hallway is very audible since the hallways aren’t carpeted. They start cleaning the surrounding rooms early in the morning with their rolling carts in the hallway, and woke me up every morning.

Great location to start off in Madrid as Basecamp

The hotel is good because the main metro lines are well connected, and the city centre is walkable in 15-20min by foot. There is a quasi chinatown like avenue behind the hotel, which has good oriental restaurants. There is a nice Latin American market that sells produces, meats, fish and serves local cuisines too. The room is petite and clean, and having the AC is great. The bed and pillows were cozy and comfortable, and housekeeping lady kept the room spot on. I like the card lock system, which switches the lights in the room automatically, and one doesn't need to worry about leaving the lights on. The room had a little fridge and kettle, which were handy to have. The staff were kind and helpful, and ensured some missing or broken items in the room were fixed the following day.

The noise from outside the building was off putting (either construction or something), especially during the day because I had to worked from my room. In addition, there was a school group, and the children were extremely loud, noise, screaming and running down the hallway without considering there are people in the rooms. I came out once to show my displeasure, but they didn't care nor the teachers or adults didn't disciplined the kids to behave in a hotel. It's not the fault of the hotel, but the adult supervisors. However, the hotel staff could have informed the school supervisors to check on the kids behavior. Having energized children running and stumping in the hallway in midnight for three days isn't acceptable. The shower room was nice, but the drainage isn't good. After a few mins on the shower, it fills up. There was no toilet brush available, and the shampoo provided was low quality.

The location was great, it was nice and clean.

It took us a while to find the reception since no one was on the ground floor and we waited for about half an hour before being told to go to the fifth floor. Some guidance before arriving would be helpful!

Location at top of Gran Via adjacent to Plaza de Espana first class.

Entrance to a shared building is a little off putting and being an old building the lifts are small and cramped with two travelling.

Other than what I mentioned on the prior question my stay was good.

Room was very clean and updated. Very good location in Madrid.

Too expensive for the size of room. The bathroom was very clean and updated but too small. There was an alarm beeping sound coming from the maid's supply room across the hallway from my room. The sound was loud enough that it will not let you sleep. I think that the doors do not have any type of sound insulation. I was on the 8th floor and went down to the reception on the ground floor to let them know. The person was kind enough to come up with me and immediately silenced the alarm. The problem was that shortly after it started beeping again. This night person was busy since he came up multiple times to silence the alarm.
